Optics Valley to welcome CatCap Studio

CatCap Studio, a major mobile gaming company founded in Beijing in 2011, recently announced that it will resettle in the Wuhan East Lake High-tech Development Zone (Optics Valley of China) in Wuhan, Hubei province by the end of the year.

Listed on the New OTC Market in 2016, the company is now at the forefront of the Chinese gaming industry and has a team of 32 professionals who focus on the development and publication of games and entertainment applications on iOS and Android platforms. 

The company has released 10 apps on the App Store, most of which have been well-received in China.

In 2018, CatCap generated 2.38 million yuan ($337,550) in operating income, a decrease of 43.72 percent over the same period in 2017. Its net profit in 2018 was -2.51 million yuan, an increase of 1.02 million yuan over the previous year's -3.53 million yuan. 

According to Catcap, it began considering a move to Wuhan in 2018. The company’s subsidiaries have already recruited more than 50 employees in Wuhan. Its forays in game development, IP operations, and original animation design have generated more than 50 million yuan in revenue.
