The 2019 Wuhan Youth Tennis Competition was held at the Hubei Olympic Center in the East Lake High-tech Development Zone (Optics Valley of China) in Wuhan, capital of Hubei province, from May 11 to 12.

A total of 178 young tennis players from across the city participated in the event, which was held for the second time in Optics Valley.

The competition was hosted by the Wuhan Sports Department and the Wuhan Education Bureau and is one of a number of events meant to welcome the 7th World Military Games, which will be held in the city in October.

Competition categories included men's doubles, women's doubles, men's singles, and women's singles.

The competition, part of the Wuhan Open, which was first held in 2014 in Optics Valley, is meant to promote tennis to youth and attract more teenagers to the sport.

It will also help cultivate more young tennis pros and develop Wuhan's tennis sector.

The 2019 Wuhan Open will be held from Sept 20 to 28 at the Optics Valley International Tennis Center.
