Updated: 2020-01-09

The 2020 Health Academic Annual Conference of Chongqing Daily Group was held in Chongqing on Jan 7 to discuss the prospect of pre-hospital aid system in the era of 5G technology.

The participating experts outlined a blueprint for the future of the area for the public.

"Smart health care is based on big data technologies. Supported by various advanced technologies such as cloud computing, quantum information, biotechnology and 5G technology, the new form of healthcare provides comprehensive management services for patients of all ages,” said Jin Xiaotao, president of the China Institute of Health Information and Healthcare Big Data Society.

"Medical management services are expected to be precise, personalized, visualized and intelligent in the near future".

Cao Yuxiang, chief marketing officer of the Sina Micro Hotspot Big Data Research Institute, shared the 2019 White Paper on Health Industry Network Communication during the conference.

According to him, information records related to health industry throughout the Internet reached 630 million pieces in 2019, with a peak in last May.

Among the persons who concern about the area, women accounted for 66.72 percent, which is twice as much as men, indicating that women pays much more attention to healthcare than men.

"A lot of people might think that the elderly concerns about health the most, but they are not," said Cao Yuxiang.

According to statistics, more than half of the Internet users are people around 21-30 years old. They have a stronger sense of health awareness than older people. It is crucial to carry out smart health care that can benefit more people in the country.

In the 5G era, 120 emergency calls will no longer need to be dialed. The first aid video self-help and mutual rescue system independently developed by the municipal Emergency Medical Center has been put into use in Chongqing. People are offered guidance from doctors via video calls before the arrival of ambulances in order to earn more time for lifesaving, said officials.
