The third cream formula festival aiming to promote Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) culture took place in Rongchang district, Chongqing, on November 13. The festival was launched by the Rongchang District Health Commission and hosted by the Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital of the district.

Free TCM experience activities such as massage, moxibustion, cupping, acupuncture and pediatric massage were provided during the festival, to show featured techniques of Chinese medicine.

In addition, Professor Wang Junfeng and Associate Professor Xiang Wei, TCM cream formula specialists of the Hospital (TCM) Affiliated to Southwest Medical University, took part in the event to make prescription according to the different physical conditions of each person on the spot, and tailor a "winter tonic" recipe for the general public.

The festival aims to show the unique charm of the health preservation culture of traditional Chinese medicine.

In total, more than 400 TCM products were distributed and over 500 people received free diagnosis. Moreover, more than 200 people experienced TCM techniques, and around 1,000 pamphlets were distributed to the public.

The festival is aimed at promoting the knowledge of health preservation and disease prevention of traditional Chinese medicine.
