Chongqing's first clinical pharmacists training program starts in Shanghai

The opening ceremony of the first clinical training program for pharmacists in Chongqing was held in the First Affiliated Hospital of Shanghai Jiaotong University on July 22.
Zhou Lin, deputy director of the Chongqing Municipal Health Commission; Qi Chang, director of Drug Policy and Essential Drug Systems Division of the National Health Commission; Wu Wenhui, director of the Drug Policy Department of the Shanghai Municipal Health Commission; and Xia Zhujie, vice-president of the First Affiliated Hospital of Shanghai Jiaotong University, attended and addressed the ceremony.
Zhou expressed his thanks to the Drug Policy and Essential Drug Systems Division of the NHC, the Shanghai Municipal Health Commission, the First Affiliated Hospital of Shanghai Jiaotong University, and the expert team for their interest in and support of the training program.
He urged those trainees to seize the training opportunities, study hard and think deeply to reach the expected goals, adding that they should take the opportunity of pharmaceutical growth to strengthen their own capacities and knowledge, thus finally fulfilling the professional mission and contributing to the cause of health care.
Attendees also included the first 26 clinical pharmacists to be trained, a vice-president of Chongqing University Cancer Hospital, and directors or responsible persons of the Pharmacy Department of Affiliated Hospitals of Army Medical University, First Affiliated Hospital and Second Affiliated Hospital of Chongqing Medical University, and Chongqing Three Gorges Central Hospital.
According to the curriculum arrangements, well-known pharmaceutical experts and professors from Peking University, Zhejiang University, Fudan University, and Second Military Medical University will give lectures.
