Zhou Lin, deputy director of the Chongqing Municipal Health Commission, met with a delegation from Minsk, Belarus on May 14.

The delegation came to attend the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Heads of Region Meeting held in Chongqing from May 14 to 16. 

Igor Makar, first vice governor of Minsk Oblast and head of the delegation, thanked Zhou for the warm reception and hoped that the two sides will further develop health exchanges and cooperation.

Zhou recalled the meeting with a delegation led by Natalya Bojarskaja, general directorate of the Health department of the Minsk Oblast Executive Committee, in Chongqing in April this year, saying that Chongqing is willing to strengthen exchanges and cooperation with Minsk in health care and contribute to the health realm along the "Silk Road".

The two sides also discussed in depth the planning and financing of the construction project of the No.2 surgical building of the Minsk City Clinical Hospital. 

Other attendees included relevant personnel from the Commission’s Medical Administration, Planning and Development Department, and International Cooperation Department.
