The Chongqing Municipal Science and Technology Bureau has announced the addition of two new concept verification centers in Liangjiang New Area to its 2025 development list.
The centers, focusing on aerospace digital intelligence applications and novel aerospace structural materials and forming technologies, are set to bridge the crucial gap between laboratory research and market-ready innovations, often referred to as the "first kilometer" of technological commercialization.
They are pivotal in evaluating the technical feasibility, commercial value, and market potential of scientific and technological advancements, playing a critical role in transforming foundational research and early-stage technologies into market-ready solutions.
The Aerospace Digital Intelligence Application Technology Concept Verification Center will concentrate on smart manufacturing domains such as industrial robots, drones, and industrial vision intelligent equipment.
It will provide tailored development and performance evaluation of robotic operation and control systems, the design and prototyping of hydrogen-powered drone fuel cells and their control systems, and secondary development and commercialization verification of industrial vision equipment.
Meanwhile, the New Aerospace Structural Materials and Forming Technology Concept Verification Center will focus on innovative aerospace materials and components. It will deliver comprehensive technical feasibility verification services, covering everything from material preparation and forming processes to structural design and manufacturing validation.
Liangjiang has long been dedicated to addressing the needs of technological commercialization, aiming to build robust platform support capabilities that encompass concept verification, pilot maturation, incubation acceleration, processing and manufacturing, and inspection and testing.
Six concept verification centers have been established in critical areas, including industrial vision intelligent control, precision motor testing, light alloy new material product development, new energy vehicle power system testing, and innovative drug research and development.
