Liangjiang electronics enterprise key to Chongqing IC industry

Chongqing Lanshan Auto Electronics Co in Liangjiang New Area is pivotal in promoting the high-quality development of Chongqing's integrated circuit industry. 

Established in 2022, Lanshan Electronics focuses on automotive MCUs, supporting power chips, and end-to-end solutions.

Li Tao, general manager of Lanshan Electronics, offered several suggestions for developing the IC industry from a corporate perspective. He emphasized the need for Chongqing and Liangjiang New Area to focus on specific areas, such as creating a nationally leading automotive electronic chip design base. 

Li also highlighted the importance of establishing an industrial investment fund and signing strategic cooperation agreements with universities and collaborative innovation centers. 

Li stressed the need to establish a flexible talent exchange mechanism. This would allow university professors to take positions in companies and industry experts to hold positions in research institutes, fostering a healthy interaction of talent, technology, and projects. 

The IC industry is a key component of Chongqing's strategy to build a modern manufacturing cluster. In 2023, the city released an action plan aiming to exceed 12 billion yuan ($1.64 billion) in revenue from the IC design industry and add more than 100 new companies by 2027.
