Liangjiang enterprise manufactures 1st tailored straddle monorail for airport

Chongqing Jiangbei International Airport has achieved a groundbreaking milestone with the rollout of its custom-made straddle monorail system vehicles manufactured by Liangjiang New Area's CRRC Changchun Railway Vehicles Co. 

This innovative project marks the first-ever tailored straddle monorail solution for an airport transit system globally. 

The company's technical director, Zhang Yang, outlined three significant advantages of employing straddle monorail vehicles in an airport transit system. 

These vehicles' smart design can handle tidal passenger flows, frequent turnarounds, and 24-hour operations, meeting the complex demands of airport transit. 

The vehicles are designed for seamless integration with terminal buildings, enhancing overall passenger comfort and experience. 

The vehicles' green and digital design elements help reduce lifecycle operational and maintenance costs.
