Forum for Yangtze River Civilization 2024 opens in Liangjiang

The Forum for Yangtze River Civilization 2024 commenced in Liangjiang New Area, Chongqing, on Sept 25.

Organized by the CPC Chongqing Municipal Committee, the forum is the only national event of its kind hosted by a provincial-level authority along the Yangtze River and encompasses 13 provinces and municipalities.

The forum aims to protect and promote Yangtze River culture, ensuring the preservation of historical heritage and strengthening cultural confidence. It serves as an academic exchange platform, gathering wisdom from across the nation to safeguard and propagate Yangtze River culture.

A highlight of the forum was the premiere of a documentary which showcases the rich cultural legacy of the Yangtze River.

Fifteen renowned experts and scholars from across the country delivered speeches on various topics, including boosting the high-quality development of the Yangtze River Economic Belt, creating stunning works of art centered on the Yangtze River, protecting historical and cultural heritage in urban and rural development, and establishing the Yangtze River as an international golden tourism belt.
