The HaiFu Knife, a large-scale surgical device manufactured in Liangjiang New Area, was recently shipped to Vietnam.

Vietnam has become the fifth Southeast Asian country to introduce this advanced equipment, following Malaysia, the Philippines, Indonesia, and Thailand.

As of the first half of this year, the HaiFu Knife has been exported to 32 countries and regions, including Vietnam, and has successfully treated over 300,000 patients with solid tumors.

This highlights Liangjiang's expanding industrial cooperation with countries involved in the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI), leading to more frequent trade exchanges.

From January to August, Liangjiang's imports and exports with BRI countries surpassed 60 billion yuan ($8.45 billion), marking a 10 percent increase from last year.

Intelligent connected new energy vehicles have become the main export force, with BRI countries absorbing 90 percent of Changan Automobile's overseas market sales. In markets like Thailand, Changan's sales are steadily rising, with annual sales expected to reach 10,000 units. From January to August, Changan Automobile's overseas market sales reached 257,200 units.

The New International Land-Sea Trade Corridor has also ensured robust economic and trade exchanges between Liangjiang and BRI countries. Data shows that the corridor operated 567 train services in the first seven months, a 63 percent year-on-year increase, transporting 28,000 twenty-foot equivalent units (TEUs) of containers with a cargo value exceeding 5.3 billion yuan.

Liangjiang plans to enhance international cooperation channels further, focusing on areas such as medical construction, intelligent manufacturing, new materials, and ecological environments, strengthening economic and trade exchanges with BRI countries.
