Liangjiang New Area in Chongqing is making significant strides in enhancing cooperation with Singaporean enterprises.

For example, the low-altitude cloud eye platform, developed by Chongqing Shenganwei IoT Technology Co and Singapore's Vilota Company, was formalized during the 9th Meeting of the China-Singapore (Chongqing) Demonstration Initiative on Strategic Connectivity.

Gu Qiaoyu, deputy general manager of Shenganwei, highlighted that the platform incorporates cutting-edge technologies such as visual positioning sensors, binocular vision obstacle avoidance sensors, and AI edge boxes, allowing intelligent drones and robots to operate in challenging environments and supporting various vertical applications in the low-altitude economy, including logistics and agriculture.

The two companies have completed the development of the necessary equipment and plan to establish a laboratory at the National University of Singapore's Chongqing Research Institute, which will foster technological exchanges between China and Singapore.

During the meeting, six Liangjiang companies secured nine new projects, further solidifying this partnership.

To date, Liangjiang has inked agreements for a total of 73 China-Singapore cooperation projects. A landmark achievement in this collaboration is the China-Singapore (Chongqing) Multimodal Transport Demonstration Base, which plays a pivotal role in the transportation and logistics sector of the China-Singapore Connectivity Initiative.

Since its inauguration in June 2022, the base has integrated Singapore's logistics expertise with resources from the New International Land-Sea Trade Corridor, China-Europe Railway Express (Chengdu-Chongqing), Yangtze River Golden Waterway, Guoyuan Port, and Jiangbei International Airport.

In the first six months of this year, the base handled over 14,000 twenty-foot equivalent units, marking a year-on-year increase of over 21 percent. The total value of goods circulated exceeded 4.1 billion yuan ($564 million), a year-on-year increase of over 150 percent.

Additionally, the Guoyuan Port's trains have achieved regular dispatch, connecting to 514 ports in 123 countries and regions, with its overall connectivity continuously strengthening. In the first five months of this year, 394 trains were dispatched, a year-on-year increase of 70 percent, with a cargo value of 3.82 billion yuan, an uptick of 132 percent year-on-year.
