Liangjiang sets up bond with S. Korean institution

On April 30, Liangjiang New Area in Southwest China's Chongqing municipality and Gyeonggido Business & Science Accelerator (GBSA) of South Korea held a strategic cooperation contract signing ceremony.

On the same day, the Gyeonggido Business & Science Accelerator (GBSA) Innovation Center was inaugurated in the new area. This center is the first of its kind to be established by GBSA in China.

Luo Lin, secretary of Liangjiang's Party work committee, attended the signing ceremony and witnessed the inauguration.

In recent years, GBSA has promoted cooperation and exchanges between governments of China and South Korea. Liangjiang New Area is willing to expand mutually beneficial cooperation with the institution in areas such as economy and trade, industry, sci-tech innovation, and logistics. It will continue to cultivate emerging formats and create new industrial growth points.

The director of GBSA expressed the hope that through the signing of this agreement, interactions and exchanges between Gyeonggido and Chongqing will be strengthened. This will lead to closer cooperation in industrial development, technological innovation, economic and trade exchanges, industrial park visits, and business interactions.

Gyeonggido is the largest provincial-level administrative region surrounding Seoul, South Korea. The GBSA is dedicated to fostering future new industries such as scientific technology R&D, biotechnology, semiconductors, and cutting-edge mobility technology.

In recent years, Liangjiang New Area has attracted 90 South Korean enterprises, with a total investment of $1.96 billion.
