The top-level node (Chongqing) for identification and resolution achieved an accumulative identification volume and an accumulative resolution volume of 20.03 billion and 15.2 billion, ranking it first in China in terms of the month-on-month increase in March.
The identification and resolution system is the heart of the industrial internet, which is a new-type infrastructure that supports the smart manufacturing industry.
The system has been established in 10 provinces and cities in western China, bolstering the leapfrog development of 19 industries including communications, equipment manufacturing, building materials, automobiles, and medical facilities. The positive effect it has in these areas is obvious, and it enables related enterprises to cut costs and raise work efficiency.
A well-known blind spot within the construction industry is that concrete was previously untraceable. According to Chen Jing, technical director of Chongqing Construction Building Materials and Logistics Co, concrete quality can only be tested 28 days after it is produced, so knowing which batch was used and where it originated from is significant.
For this reason, Chongqing Construction Building Materials and Logistics Co developed the concrete production traceability identification application scenario. This application traces the production, transportation and pouring information of every truck of concrete, solving major problems within the industry.
John Edwards, the UK trade commissioner for China, praised Chongqing over its rise as a burgeoning center in intelligent manufacturing.
