Liangjiang New Area in Southwest China's Chongqing municipality aims to build the First People's Hospital of Liangjiang, the Second People's Hospital of Liangjiang, Raffles Hospital and Haifu Hospital into internet hospitals by the end of 2020.

The First People's Hospital of Liangjiang is a general hospital providing medical treatment, teaching, first aid, healthcare and rehabitation.

By building internet hospitals, these functions will be available online to provide consultations, electronic prescriptions, medicine delivery and health lectures for patients.

Patients can register with face recognition, and send messages or have video consultations with doctors. Medicines can be delivered directly to patients' homes.

Internet hospitals provide convenience for doctors to make diagnoses with patients' medical history records easily available, and make registration management, doctor scheduling and diagnosis rules digital.

In addition, Liangjiang supports all hospitals above 2A-level to start pilot development of internet hospital systems.

According to the social development bureau of Liangjiang, the construction of internet hospitals targets patients' needs and will orient hospital operations to promote the integration and matching of medical demands and hospital resources.
