Liangjiang New Area entrepreneurship training to help farmers move from rural to urban areas

Updated:2014-05-22

In a phase of rapid industrialization and urbanization, more and more farmers are beginning to leave rural areas for the city. The urbanization generates more demand for work and the skills training and entrepreneurship training have become an important measure to promote the employment rate of agricultural personnel.

A total of 52 agricultural personnel from Yufu Industrial Park participated in the training and learnt a lot about the preferential policies for entrepreneurship.

“In the course of the ten-day training, many experiences and successful cases were analyzed and their skills to be able to run a business were greatly improved,” said an official of the Liangjiang Human Resources Department. Currently, 19 excellent trainees have chosen the venture projects which have mainly concentrated on dining, reparation, decoration and other service industries.

Seven trainees from rural areas have successfully started their own businesses, which are related to beauty, health massage, catering, decoration or building materials. “Successful entrepreneurs can not only improve their living standards, but they can also promote employment,” said Yin Xiaohua, director of Liangjiang Human Resources Department.

Presently, Liangjiang Human Resources Department has cooperated with Jiangbei Employment Agency, Jiangbei Federation of Industry and Commerce, Chongqing Incubation Base of Family Service Industry, and the training school to help the agricultural personnel get more support in venture capital loans, tax concessions, and preferential leasing of houses.
