Three big industrial development zones in Liangjiang New Area will accelerate the construction of supporting facilities to upgrade the services of the city. According to the Liangjiang New Area administrative committee, Yufu industrial park, Longxing industrial park and Shuitu industrial park will start 45 projects for citizens to promote the integration of Liangjiang's industrial development zones. The industrial parks of Liangjiang New Area attach importance to public facilities. Liangjiang New Area plans to decorate the buildings and construct ecological landscape circles to upgrade the public welfare of the development zones.

The 45 social welfare projects cover schools, community hospitals, homes for the elderly, firefighting stations, neighborhood committees, funeral homes, parks and bus lines. The projects are expected to receive financing totaling 1.8 billion yuan ($293.2 million).

Five public welfare projects, including Baoyuzui No 1 Middle School, a home for the elderly in Shuangxi and a youth activity center in Yufu, will be put into use. Eight projects – including a fire-fighting station and home for the elderly in Longxing, a primary school in Siyuan, and a first-level fire-fighting station and home for the elderly in Shuitu – are expected to be completed in 2014. In addition, the first phase of Longwan forest park will be finished and open to the public. By the time it opens, there will be at least one bus line linking the industrial park to the downtown area in each development zone.

Liangjiang New Area attaches great importance to livelihood issues in the course of promoting the new area's opening to the outside. In response to the Chongqing Municipal Party Committee's requirement of dealing with 22 livelihood issues, Liangjiang New Area will tackle issues and solve problems facing the public, in addition to urgent public welfare problems.

Longxing industrial park has begun its image reconstruction project, including expanding the exit of the loop express off ramp from two entrances and three exits into three entrances and five exits, expanding 1,000 meters of the main road, and upgrading the greenbelts on both sides of the road. Longxing industrial park will invest 53 million yuan in the reconstruction project, which is expected to last six months. The image reform project plans to improve the investment environment and the city's image in Longsheng district to accelerate the development of the industrial park.
