CQHCWC to reopen vaccination clinic for high-risk infants

Chongqing Health Center for Women and Children (CQHCWC) -- in Southwest China's Chongqing -- made the decision to gradually resume routine vaccination services at its vaccination clinic for high-risk infants from March 23, according to CQHCWC officials.

The statement of the announcement was posted on March 19 on the CQHCWC website.

Officials said that in view of the current situation of the COVID-19 outbreak, the hospital highlighted the following precautions in the notice to ensure the orderly progress of its vaccination services:

1. Parents of high-risk infants who need vaccinations should make an appointment for the vaccination service in advance.

(1). Please call in advance for an appointment and bring your child to the hospital for vaccination according to the time allotted.

Open hours for making an appointment: From 8:00-17:00 hrs working days (from March 20, 2020).

(3). In principle, no more than 30 appointments per day should be made before the end of March.

2. Priority will be given to EPI vaccines and non-EPI vaccines that may exceed the age limit.

3. If the children to be vaccinated or the families of the children to be vaccinated are in the following situation, please do not make an appointment at the moment for vaccination services:

(1). COVID-19 infected.

(2). Those who have contact with COVID-19 infected persons, COVID-19 suspected cases and close contacts in the past month.

(3). Those who have been to hard-hit areas in the past month.

(4). If family members of the children to be vaccinated, have had fever or respiratory symptoms in the past 14 days.

4. No advance appointment, no vaccination service.

Reminder:

1. One child to be vaccinated can only have one accompanying person -- and all must wear masks correctly to ensure personal protection.

2. Before coming to the vaccination clinic, please measure your own body temperature and after coming to the hospital, please cooperate with the pre examination, triage and body temperature monitoring.

If the child to be vaccinated or the accompanying person has fever and other unusual symptoms, please call in time to cancel the appointment and do not vaccinate for now.
