A delegation of six from the Chongqing Municipal Health Commission -- led by Tang Xuyan, deputy director of the Division of Maternal and Child Health at the commission -- visited Chongqing Health Center for Women and Children (CQHCWC) on Feb 26, to investigate the novel coronavirus prevention and control work at the hospital, according to CQHCWC hospital officials.

The delegation first attended a regular meeting of CQHCWC, located in Chongqing in southwestern China. There they learned details of the work being done by the hospital to contain and defeat the epidemic, while meeting the medical needs of women and children in the city -- and refining the systems related to prevention and control in the last month.

After the meeting, Tang and her delegation visited several departments of the hospital. She was briefed on a fully automatic infrared temperature monitor on site and she highly praised the hospital's actions against the outbreak.

During the visit, Tang told members of staff of CQHCWC that with the resumption of work and production, epidemic prevention and control could not be relaxed.

The hospital should strengthen the health management of all patients coming into the hospital and continue daily diagnoses and treatments in an orderly manner, she added.
