Periooperative nursing workshop held in CQHCWC

The first Periooperative Nursing Quality Management Workshop for Obstetrics and Gynecology Patients was organized by Chongqing Health Center for Women and Children, or the CQHCWC, on Dec 14, local officials said. 

They said that more than 200 doctors and nurses participated in the event. 

The workshop aimed to effectively ensure the safety of surgical patients and comprehensively improve the quality of perioperative nursing for gynecological and obstetric patients in Chongqing hospitals. 

Yu Youxia, director of the Nursing Department of CQHCWC, presided over the opening ceremony and delivered a speech. 

Yi Fengqiong, head nurse of the operating room at the First Affiliated Hospital of Chongqing Medical University; Zhang Qin, deputy director of the Infection Control Department at CQHCWC and various experts from the center were invited to the workshop to give lectures. 

Hot-button topics were discussed by the experts, officials said. 

These included the difficulties and prevention measures in perioperative surgical patient infection control and gynecological hysteroscopic surgery anesthesia risk prevention. 

Other areas of discussion included the application and case analysis of quality management tools. 

Experts put forward their insights into the prevention of surgical risk and quality management tools for gynecological and obstetric patients, based on their deep clinical experience. 

Participants also went to the operating room of CQHCWC to deepen their understanding of the theoretical knowledge and actual operations. 

Officials said that by building a professional learning and communications platform for medical colleagues, the event played a positive role in reducing perioperative risk and regulating the scientific management of perioperative surgery.
