According to CQHCWC officials, Yu is also the secretary of the Party group of and deputy director of the State Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine.

The guests inspected the Children's Health Department, Obstetrics Department and other departments, as well as examining the hospital's advanced intelligent registration system.

Yu lauded efforts made by the CQHCWC to construct a smart hospital.

She pointed out that the need, first and foremost, was to speed up communications between different levels of hospitals and establish an information services network that can divert cases of more common illness, such as pediatric colds, to community hospitals.

A second goal was to improve child health services by promoting the development of public welfare undertakings of children's autism. Chongqing hospitals should pay attention to the evaluation of the effectiveness of interventions for children with autism, she said.

"The CQHCWC needs to strengthen the integration of TCM treatment into the whole process of medical services, raise parents' awareness of health education, and enhance the vaccination services for high-risk children," Yu added.

The obstetric consultation room appointment system, according to Yu, should also be optimized so as to standardize the management of high-risk pregnant women.
