A key project of the Chongqing Health Center for Women and Children has been included on a list of must-support items by the National Natural Science Foundation of China.

Carried out by Dr. Shen Xiaoli from Chongqing Institute of Reproduction and Genetics, the project focuses on the study of HECTD1's regulation and control of blood vessel differentiation and the development mechanism of placental labyrinths.

The project is the first of its kind by the center to receive such support from the foundation.
