Since its takeover by China National Nuclear Corporation (CNNC), the Rössing Uranium Mine in Namibia, once on the brink of closure, has experienced a remarkable revival, significantly improving the lives of many local employees and residents.
CNNC's operations have created numerous job opportunities for local women, empowering them economically and elevating their social status. Additionally, CNNC has actively partnered with vocational schools to launch entrepreneurship training programs for young women. So far, eight local women have established their own businesses with the support of the Rössing Uranium Mine.
