In addition, the "Zero-Carbon Future City" vision was presented at the forum, providing Chinese solutions and the CNNC’s solutions for global energy supply and environmental protection. It was learned at the forum that the development plan for the Zero-Carbon Future City in Haiyan county, East China's Zhejiang province, had been approved by the Zhejiang Provincial Development and Reform Commission, signaling the unveiling of the plan for China's first zero-carbon high-quality development demonstration area. The Zero-Carbon Future City is a new industrial park that features the self-balance between carbon emissions and absorption, and a deep integration of production, ecology and life. Built on the comprehensive utilization of nuclear energy, it is the CNNC's implementation of China's carbon peaking and carbon neutrality development blueprint.
