The second and the third groups of managers from China National Nuclear Corporation arrived in France recently, to help with the construction of the International Thermonuclear Experimental Reactor, also known as the ITER, according to CNNC officials.
Officials said China is participating in ITER, one of the most ambitious energy projects in the world today.
Following two weeks of isolation due to the novel coronavirus pneumonia epidemic, the 14 Chinese employees joined the six who previously arrived.
CNNC officials said that during isolation, the employees were engaged in work through WeChat, welink, and other online platforms.
Purchasing staff members worked on five equipment subcontracts through remote negotiations, designers adjusted drawings and designs through countless email communications and administrative personnel looked at system procedures and management processes, in the process soliciting multiple opinions.
Currently the CNNC team participating in the ITER is working on other aspects of the project.
