Indonesia is located between two world's major oceans, the Pacific and the Indian Ocean. With a total maritime area, including the Exclusive Economic Zone, of more than five million square kilometers, Indonesia is one of the most significant maritime countries in the world.
The Blue Economy is a strategic issue, part of the agenda of the Government of Mozambique, countries of the Western Indian Ocean , SADC, African Union and relevant cooperation partners that are already in Africa and the world as a whole and Mozambique in particular, and it represents a great opportunity to boost the results of sectoral public policies.
For us here in Madagascar, the blue economy is an opportunity for the government and the private sector to catalyze the economy. So our vision is to make the blue economy one of the main pillars for the emergence of Madagascar while protecting the ecosystems.
