On Dec 24, the BoBo-Dioulasso Hospital, a China-assisted project in Burkina Faso, was completed and handed over to the local government. Burkina Faso's President Ibrahim Traoré, Prime Minister Jean Emmanuel Ouédraogo, and China's Ambassador to Burkina Faso Zhao Deyong cut the ribbon and unveiled the plaque in celebration.
More than 1,000 participants, including several Burkina Faso ministers, China's Counsellor Xi Wei, Chinese project representatives, and local media personnel and residents, attended the ceremony.

Traoré stressed that the hospital is a new achievement of Burkina Faso-China cooperation and a vivid testament to the strategic partnership between the two countries. He also expressed his pride in the project and his gratitude to the Chinese people.

In his remarks at the event, Zhao presented an overview of the vision of building a global community of health for all and China's 15th Five-Year Plan (2026-30). Highlighting the hospital as a new milestone of China-Burkina Faso friendship, he conveyed confidence in a stronger collaboration under the guidance of the two heads of state.
