The Chinese government shipped the first batch of emergency humanitarian earthquake relief supplies to Myanmar on March 31.
The shipment, on a chartered flight, includes 1,200 tents, 8,000 blankets and more than 40,000 first-aid kits. Director-General of the First Department of Regional Affairs of the China International Development Cooperation Agency Shou Hailong oversaw the delivery at the airport.
China is currently preparing urgently needed items such as drinking water and convenience food to be delivered to the disaster-hit area in Myanmar.
