CIDCA| Updated: 2025-03-29

In response to the major earthquake that hit Myanmar on March 28, the Chinese government immediately launched emergency humanitarian relief operations, said Li Ming, spokesperson for the China International Development Cooperation Agency, on March 29.

A medical rescue team from China's Yunnan province has arrived in Myanmar, the first foreign assistance team to arrive, according to Li.

Other Chinese rescue teams and relief supplies will arrive as soon as possible, Li said, expressing the belief that with the efforts of the Myanmar government and people and the help of the international community, the affected people in Myanmar will overcome the temporary difficulties and rebuild their homes.
