CIDCA chairman meets with Ethiopian minister of industry

Chairman of the China International Development Cooperation Agency (CIDCA) Luo Zhaohui met with Ethiopian Minister of Industry Melaku Alebel on July 11. Alebel was in Beijing to attend the second high-level conference of the Forum on Global Action for Shared Development.

Noting that Ethiopia is an African country with major influence, Luo said the leaders of the two countries decided last year to elevate bilateral relations to an all-weather strategic partnership, opening up prospects for broad cooperation. China is ready to strengthen communication and coordination with Ethiopia, continue to advance development cooperation projects, expand cooperation channels and resources, and build demonstration projects of China-Africa cooperation in a bid to boost Ethiopia's industrial modernization and achieve results under the Global Development Initiative, he added.

Alebel said that China is Ethiopia's most trustworthy cooperation partner. He thanked China for its valuable support to the economic and social development of his country, and said he hoped to learn from China's development experience and advanced technologies. He extended a welcome to Chinese companies to invest in Ethiopia, and pledged close cooperation with China in promoting the construction of demonstration projects and elevating the bilateral cooperation level.
