On June 4, 2024, Luo Zhaohui, chairman of the China International Development Cooperation Agency (CIDCA), met with Deputy Minister of Investment, Industry and Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan Kasimov Ilzat Ablaxatovich.
Luo said that under the strategic guidance of the presidents of the two countries, China-Uzbekistan relations have maintained high-level development. In January this year, the two heads of state announced that the two countries would develop an all-weather comprehensive strategic partnership for a new era, and promote the building of a China-Uzbekistan community with a shared future from a higher starting point. China is ready to work with Uzbekistan to jointly implement the key consensus reached between the two heads of state, continue to deepen development cooperation, promote high-quality Belt and Road cooperation, and implement the Global Development Initiative, to make new contributions to deepening the all-weather comprehensive strategic partnership between the two countries in the new era, he said.
Kasimov said that under the personal drive of the two heads of state, Uzbekistan-China relations have opened a new chapter, charting the course for bilateral cooperation in various fields. He expressed appreciation to China for its long-term strong support for the economic and social development and improvement of people's livelihood in Uzbekistan. He also lauded the massive and efficient work that the CIDCA has carried out, and pledged to jointly implement the consensus between the two sides and enrich the Uzbekistan-China all-weather comprehensive strategic partnership in the new era, securing more development cooperation outcomes.
