CIDCA chairman meets with Yemeni minister of foreign affairs and expatriates

On May 28, 2024, Chairman of the China International Development Cooperation Agency (CIDCA) Luo Zhaohui met with Yemeni Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Shaya Mohsin Zindani, who is in China to attend the 10th ministerial conference of the China-Arab States Cooperation Forum.

Noting that China and Yemen enjoy a profound traditional friendship, Luo said that China is ready to continue to consolidate political mutual trust with Yemen, strengthen exchanges and cooperation in various fields, expand practical cooperation under the frameworks of the Belt and Road Initiative and the Global Development Initiative, continue to provide assistance to Yemen's reconstruction within its capacity, and push for the consolidation and deepening of China-Yemen traditional friendly relations.

Zindani said that Yemen and China enjoy a time-honored friendship. The Yemeni people will never forget the tremendous help and support from the Chinese side, he added. Yemen admires China's achievements on its path to modernization, he said, pledging active support to and participation in the Belt and Road cooperation and the implementation of the China-proposed initiatives, as well as to deepen cooperation with China in various fields.

After the meeting, Luo and Zindani signed related cooperation documents.
