CIDCA chairman meets with deputy PM and FM of Pakistan

On May 14, 2024, Chairman of the China International Development Cooperation Agency (CIDCA) Luo Zhaohui met with Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Foreign Affairs of Pakistan Mohammad Ishaq Dar in Beijing.

Luo said that China and Pakistan are all-weather strategic cooperative partners, and when it comes to issues concerning their respective core interests, the two sides always stand firmly together and steadfastly support each other. He noted the unique and enduring ironclad friendship between the two countries. In recent years, the leaders of the two countries have reached multiple important consensus, charting course for the continuous advancement of China-Pakistan relations, he said, adding that China is ready to work with Pakistan to advance high-quality Belt and Road cooperation, actively promote the implementation of the Global Development Initiative, the Global Security Initiative and the Global Civilization Initiative, and strive to build a closer China-Pakistan community with a shared future in the new era.

Dar thanked China for its long-term support and assistance to Pakistan, saying that China will always be Pakistan’s most trustworthy friend. He highlighted the deep-rooted friendship between the two peoples and expressed willingness to further deepen practical cooperation in various fields with China, spare no effort to ensure the safety of Chinese personnel in Pakistan, and jointly upgrade the construction of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor in order to make more people benefit from the cooperation.

The two sides also held in-depth exchanges on specific cooperation matters.
