Luo noted that Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev held a successful visit to China in January, during which the two heads of state announced to elevate bilateral ties to an all-weather comprehensive strategic partnership for a new era and to promote the building of a China-Uzbekistan community with a shared future from a higher starting point, charting a course for the development of China-Uzbekistan relations. The CIDCA is ready to join hands with Uzbekistan to implement the key consensus reached between the two heads of state, continue to deepen bilateral cooperation, and promote the high-quality Belt and Road cooperation and the implementation of the Global Development Initiative (GDI) to advance continuous development of bilateral ties, he said.

Noting that China is an important strategic partner of Uzbekistan, Arziev thanked China for its long-term support and assistance to the social and economic development of his country. He reaffirmed Uzbekistan's support to and active participation in the China-proposed Belt and Road Initiative and the GDI, and pledged to further strengthen exchanges with China in development fields, learn from China's experience in state governance and continuously enhance friendship between the two countries.

The two sides held in-depth exchanges on specific cooperation matters. Vice-Chairman of the CIDCA Yang Weiqun, as well as Du Wei and Meng Ran, deputy directors-general of the CIDCA's First Department of Regional Affairs and Department of International Cooperation, also attended the meeting.
