CIDCA chairman inks technical cooperation agreement with ASEAN secretary-general

Luo Zhaohui, chairman of the China International Development Cooperation Agency (CIDCA), met with Secretary-General of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) Kao Kin Hourn in Jakarta, Indonesia, on Sept 6, 2023, on the sidelines of the 26th China-ASEAN Summit, the 26th ASEAN Plus Three Summit, and the 18th East Asia Summit, which he accompanied Chinese Premier Li Qiang to attend.

The two sides exchanged views on jointly promoting the implementation of the Global Development Initiative and further deepening the China-ASEAN comprehensive strategic partnership.

At the end of the meeting, the two sides signed an agreement on China-ASEAN technical cooperation, which aims to further strengthen bilateral cooperation in the field of development.

Representatives from ASEAN countries, including Permanent Representative of Myanmar to ASEAN Aung Myo Myint and Permanent Representative of Cambodia to ASEAN Heng Sarith, and representatives from East Timor,as well as Minister Counselor of the Chinese Mission to ASEAN Li An also attended the meeting.
