Zhao Fengtao, vice-chairman of the China International Development Cooperation Agency (CIDCA), met with visiting Minister for Development Cooperation and Global Climate Policy of Denmark Dan Jorgensen on April 21, 2023.
Noting that this year marks the 15th anniversary of the China-Denmark comprehensive strategic partnership, Zhao said that China is ready to strengthen cooperation with Denmark in international development, jointly help other developing countries in their climate change response, and jointly promote the implementation of the Global Development Initiative and the United Nations 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, and will strive for the healthy and stable development of the comprehensive strategic partnership between the two countries.
Jorgensen acknowledged the close cooperation between the two countries and lauded China's active role in addressing such issues as climate change. He pledged to work with China to further enhance bilateral cooperation in international development, strengthen exchanges and cooperation in such fields as climate change response and development financing, and contribute to the realization of the UN's 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.
Danish Ambassador to China Thomas Moller, Under-Secretary for Development Policy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Denmark Stephan Schonemann, Director-General of the CIDCA's Department of International Cooperation Xu Wei, and Director-General of the CIDCA's Department of Supervision and Evaluation Tian Lin also attended the meeting.
