Deng Boqing, vice-chairman of the China International Development Cooperation Agency (CIDCA), met with Farhod Arziev, ambassador of Uzbekistan to China, on April 14, 2023.
Deng noted that under the strategic leadership of the two heads of state, the two countries have continuously deepened mutual trust, and expanded cooperation with mutual benefits,, yielding positive results in development cooperation.
China will host the China-Central Asia Summit this year, and is ready to work with Uzbekistan to implement key consensus reached by the two heads of state, build the Belt and Road to a high standard, implement the Global Development Initiative, and deepen bilateral cooperation, in a bid to benefit the people of both countries, he said.
Arziev extended his appreciation for China's long-term support in the socioeconomic development and improvement of people's livelihoods in Uzbekistan, adding that Uzbekistan looks forward to learning from China's experience in state governance in areas such as poverty alleviation, and working closely with China for more positive results in bilateral cooperation.
The two sides exchanged views on related cooperation projects.
