Celebrating 100th anniversary of CPC | China helps Bolivian delegation to participate in Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics

China and Bolivia have had frequent sports and cultural exchanges in recent years. China helped Bolivia successfully hold the 11th South American Games in 2018 through the sports technical assistance program.

To help Bolivian athletes participate in the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympic Games, China started the third round of its technical assistance program for sports in the country at an early time, inviting the Bolivian delegation to China for training.

The program aims to improve the international influences of Bolivian winter sports and promote the country’s sports industry development.

The Bolivian Ministry of Health and Sports held a departure ceremony on Nov 27, 2021, to celebrate its delegation's participation in the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympic Games.

The ceremony was attended by over 100 people including Chinese Ambassador to Bolivia Huang Yazhong and Bolivian Minister of Health and Sports Jeyson Auza, as well as athlete and media representatives.

Huang said at the ceremony that China and Bolivia are good brothers and partners. After the outbreak of COVID-19 in Bolivia, China provided a large number of vaccine doses and medical supplies to help Bolivia fight the pandemic.

He added China is willing to continue friendly cooperation with Bolivia in various fields, including sports and cultural exchanges, to enhance the friendship between the two peoples. China will make unremitting efforts and new contributions to the building of a China-Bolivia community with a shared future.

Auza thanked China for helping the delegation train in China and participate in the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics. He said that he hopes the athletes will bring Bolivia's culture and spirit to China and spread the Olympic purpose and concept of unity, friendship and peace on behalf of Bolivia.

Auza wished the athletes excellent results and a successful Beijing 2022 Winter Olympic Games.
