CIDCA willing to strengthen cooperation with AIIB

Luo Zhaohui, chairman of the China International Development Cooperation Agency (CIDCA), met with Danny Alexander, vice-president of the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB), on July 29.

Luo said that the current global COVID-19 pandemic is still spreading and recurring. The world economy is facing serious challenges and the international community should look out for and help each other.

The CIDCA is willing to explore cooperation with the AIIB in the fields of pandemic response, co-building of the Belt and Road and green development, making contributions to stabilizing international industrial and supply chains and boosting developing countries' economic recovery and the interconnectivity of Asian nations.

Alexander thanked China for its long-standing support to the AIIB. He said the AIIB is willing to work together with the CIDCA to actively explore cooperation in key areas such as green and sustainable development, to support infrastructure development in Asia, and to promote post-pandemic economic recovery and development.
