Zhao said that the friendly relations between China and Botswana are like those of brothers. Since the outbreak of the pandemic, the two countries have supported each other. In particular, the Chinese government and enterprises sent several batches of anti-pandemic supplies to Botswana as soon as China had the virus under control.
The recently-arrived supplies once again vividly show the brotherly relations of the two countries and demonstrate their anti-pandemic spirit of supporting each other in overcoming the difficulties.
China has not only provided material assistance but also sent a message to Botswana that with solidarity and cooperation the virus will be eventually defeated.
The novel coronavirus is still spreading around the world including in Africa. As long as the pandemic exists in even one country, it means that the virus has not been completely defeated. China will continue to provide assistance to Botswana within its capability until the country achieves the final success.
Kwape appreciated and thanked China for its continuous help and support to Botswana in the field of health. Upon the outbreak of the virus, China immediately lent a helping hand to Botswana by donating anti-pandemic supplies which truly shows the friendly relations of solidarity and cooperation between the two countries.
Through anti-pandemic cooperation, the two countries' relations have been further strengthened and the friendship of the two peoples has been deepened. Botswana hopes to continue to strengthen cooperation with China, strive to defeat the virus at an early date and restore the normal social order.
The supplies will be used to improve protective conditions for front -line anti-pandemic workers such as doctors, nurses, border inspectors, logistic drivers and journalists.
