China to provide health assistance to Zimbabwe

Zhang Maoyu, vice-chairman of the China International Development Cooperation Agency (CIDCA), signed an agreement on a project to provide health assistance to Zimbabwe in January 2020.

Under the framework of the South-south Cooperation Assistance Fund, the project will provide reproductive health care to women and girls in the areas affected by Cyclone Idai in Zimbabwe and train local health workers in order to reduce the rates of maternal morbidity and mortality.
