Deng Boqing, vice-chairman of the China International Development Cooperation Agency (CIDCA), visited the Lao People’s Democratic Republic from Sept 23 to 27, 2019.
Deng said that the main purpose of this visit was to effectively implement the consensus reached by the two heads of state, solidly promote the eight major projects of aiding Laos, and advance the implementation of a community with a shared future for China and Laos.
During the visit, China signed five important cooperation agreements with Laos.
Laotian officials warmly welcomed the delegation, thanked China for its assistance and support of Laos, and highly praised the CIDCA for its outstanding contribution to China-Laos development cooperation.
Deng met with Somdy Douangdy, deputy prime minister and minister of finance, Khamkhanh Chanthavisouk, governor of Luang Prabang province, and Khemmany Pholsena, minister of industry and commerce, exchanging views on in-depth cooperation for development.
