CIDCA vice-chairman meets with vice-chair of GPE Board of Directors

Zhang Maoyu, vice-chairman of the China International Development Cooperation Agency (CIDCA), met with Serigne Mbaye Thiam, vice-chair of the Global Partnership for Education (GPE) Board of Directors and the Senegalese Minister of Water and Sanitation, on Aug 30. They exchanged views on cooperation in international development.

Thiam introduced the overall situation of the GPE. He said that the GPE attaches great importance to cooperation with China and hopes to strengthen exchanges with the CIDCA to jointly promote the development of education in developing countries.

Zhang expounded on the responsibilities of the CIDCA and the concept of China's foreign aid, saying that the CIDCA is willing to strengthen exchanges and cooperation with the GPE, share China's experience, and work together to promote all-round improvement of education in developing countries.
