Zhang Maoyu, vice-chairman of the China International Development Cooperation Agency (CIDCA), met with World Bank Vice-President for East Asia and Pacific Victoria Kwakwa on Mar 26. They exchanged views on strengthening cooperation between the two sides.
Kwakwa introduced the World Bank's development assistance work. She said that the establishment of the CIDCA means that China will play a more important role in international development cooperation. The World Bank is willing to strengthen cooperation with the CIDCA to share China's experience in poverty reduction and development with the world.
Zhang said that the World Bank's professional experience has played a positive role in promoting global development. The CIDCA is willing to learn from the experience of international organizations, including the World Bank, and contribute to the realization of the UN 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and the promotion of a community of shared destiny for mankind.
