Daxing to build sci-tech innovation cluster for electric aviation
The 2023 China International Electric Aviation Development Forum was held in the Beijing Daxing International Airport Economic Zone (BDIAEZ) under the theme of "Electric Aviation's Development and Chinese Market Opportunities" from November 16 to 17.

Luo Boming, deputy Party chief and vice-director of the BDIAEZ Administrative Committee, said that the airport area will strive to build a sci-tech innovation cluster for the electric aviation sector and foster a green development engine for the industry through sci-tech plus scenarios approaches.
Noting that the development of the electric aviation industry is of vital importance to further bolster China's aerospace strength, Luo said that the airport area will strengthen its core capacity building in regional airworthiness scenarios, aviation technology services and digitalization, and support constructing exhibitions, approval, business incubation and financial incentive service platforms and industrial parks.

During the forum, the General Aviation and UAV Development Promotion Branch of the China Communications and Transportation Association and the China Aviation Industry-Education Integration Innovation Consortium signed a cooperation deal on personnel training, information communication and technological innovation.
Representatives from the Flying Vehicles Branch of the China Society of Automotive Engineers, the Key Laboratory of Civil Aviation Low-altitude Geographic Information and Routes, the Equipment Industry Development Center of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, as well as corporate executives from the hydrogen energy sector joined the discussion and dialogue part of the event.
They held talks on the technological innovation and commercial application of electric aviation, the integrated development of industrial chains concerning electric aviation, the utilization of hydrogen fuel cells in electric aviation and relevant challenges, and briefed attendees about the latest technologies in electric aviation.
Additionally, Shanghai TCab Technology Co, the Chinese Academy of Civil Aviation Science and Technology, the Second Research Institute of the CAAC, and several other research agencies jointly held an exhibition to showcase the latest advanced technologies and development results of electric aviation through VR simulation and on-site experience.
With a focus on the latest development trends of the global electric aviation industry, the forum has explored the development path of the electric aviation industry in China, and fostered more opportunities for diverse cooperation between domestic electric aviation players and their global counterparts.
