Beijing, Tokyo to boost innovation and cooperation
On Feb 24, a promotion meeting for the Beijing China-Japan Innovation & Cooperation Demonstration Zone was held in Tokyo, gathering representatives from hundreds of Japanese companies and institutions in the digital economy, medicine and health, and environmental protection.

During the event, Li Hualong, general manager of the Beijing Daxing International Business Service Co, introduced that the demonstration zone has large geographical advantages, being the location of Daxing International Airpot and adjacent to the sub-center of Beijing and the Xiongan New Area.
The demonstration zone expects to join hands with Japanese companies to build a system with medicine and health as the pillar industry, the digital economy and advanced intelligent manufacturing as the characteristic industry, and modern services as the supporting industry.

In order to support the high-quality development of Japanese-funded projects, the park has established a fund, with an initial scale of 2 billion yuan ($291 million).
An executive from a Japanese digital technology research and development company said, "we are developing more digital products and looking forward to carrying out cooperation with Chinese companies through the platform, for the Chinese market has huge potential and rich application scenarios."
In addition, during the five-day trip to Japan, the delegation also visited well-known companies such as Sony, Chia Tai, Itochu, and Mizuho Bank.
