The event was divided into several parts, featuring Party history education, ancient Chinese classics, anti-epidemic stories and book sharing.

At the opening ceremony, Li Zhongjie, executive deputy president of the Chinese Society of History of the Communist Party of China, shared revolution-related classics with his own reading experience, deeply interpreting the New China's strength based on several important historical national incidents.

An exhibition was open to the public, displaying artist Shu Yong's paintings to pay tribute to the heroes fighting the COVID-19 outbreak.

Accompanied by the melodies of guqin, a seven-string traditional Chinese instrument, visitors had a chance to savor the charm of ancient Chinese classics.

The organizer also rolled out a book exchange fair in the next morning to make readers feel the joy of sharing. Teenagers were able to bring unused books to designated booths, swapping them for corresponding items.
