Pear Blossom Tourism and Culture Festival opens in Daxing
The much-anticipated 2021 Pear Blossom Tourism and Culture Festival kicked off in Panggezhuang town, Daxing district in Beijing on April 8 and will last until April 16.

This year's festival is expected to host a series of themed activities, featuring old pear trees conservation, a photo competition, as well as culture immersion.
To strengthen protection of over 30,000 century-old pear trees, the Panggezhuang government invited leaders of Beijing-based enterprises including HKY Technology Co and Shengang Securities (Beijing) Co to jointly take part in a pear tree adoption ceremony.

Relying on the Yongding River cultural belt, the local government rolled out a check-box map, providing consumers with an index for enjoying beautiful scenery, tasting food and experiencing culture.

Dipping into the white floral sea, tourists will be available to compete in shooting pictures themed with pear blossoms and hanfu, a kind of traditional Chinese garb, enter a lottery and leave a message greeting the centenary of the founding of the Communist Party of China.

In recent years, efforts have been made in Panggezhaung to develop characteristic agriculture and cultural tourism, continuously explore the connotations of pear culture, and foster a refined pear industry with strong brand effect.
