Daxing promotes local mass vaccination campaign
A total of 290,000 people at 26 inoculation venues across Beijing's Daxing district received the first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine over two days after the city began administering the jab to specific groups on Feb 17.

"Residents can voluntarily make reservations in advance, and community workers will schedule a time for them to receive their shot," said a local official surnamed Liu. "The goal is to improve work efficiency and avoid crowds gathering."

The immunization campaign currently covers nine priority groups of people, including those with a higher risk of infection and those who work in public transportation, fresh markets, medical treatment and disease control facilities.
