Beijing's Daxing district will continue to improve local consultation to foster a greater governance pattern of collaboration, participation and common interests, according to a news briefing of the district's two sessions on Jan 6.

Notably, the district plans to dismantle 108 villages by the end of this year in an orderly manner to help further refine the city's governance.
Also, it is expected to coordinate construction of social psychological service stations and other community volunteer service projects.

Adhering to detailed grid management, the district created a consultation system about community affairs featuring greater public participation, and promoted it in 17 pilot areas last year.
The platform was met with general consent in the pilot communities, where it helped resolve more than 95 percent of matters with a satisfaction rate of 94.47 percent.
In 2020, Daxing established the city's first property management corporation focused on renewal of old communities, giving full play to the protection role of state-owned companies.
All 56 communities with irregular services in the district have now introduced standardized property companies.
